The great features of the New Age Mahindra XUV500 run well beneath the surface, too, with the hearty 2.2ltr mHawk engine delivering an output of 103kW and impressive torque of 330Nm. And the 5th generation variable geometry turbocharger ensures effortless acceleration.

AWD (W8)

6-Speed Manual Transmission
The Mahindra XUV500 has the first 6-speed transmission fully developed and tested in India, with two overdrives to optimise engine torque and speed, resulting in better fuel economy and acceleration.

Monocoque Construction
The Mahindra XUV500’s monocoque construction, integrating body and platform into a single unit, that is found only in the most modern of SUVs, provides an excellent power to weight ratio that ensures unrivalled road handling and sheer driving pleasure.

Reverse Camera
The Reverse Parking Camera with Dynamic Assist (W8) gets you safely into a tight bay.

Infotainment
The Driver Infotainment System delivers crystal clear audio throughout the vehicle through six-speakers, and is operated via a 7-inch colour touch screen display (W8). Voice activation is provided for certain functions as well as fingertip controls on the steering wheel for cruise, audio and mobile phone. GPS Navigation is also available on the W8 variant, with touch-screen control and audio support so that you can always be sure of where you’re going.

8-Way power-adjustable driver’s seat
The driver’s seat is 8-way adjustable, and with a fully adjustable tilt and telescopic steering column, finding the perfect driving position is a breeze.

Tyre Tronics (W8)
Tyre tronics provides live updates of the exact air pressure & temperature in each tyre, which helps to ensure that you tyres have adequate pressure, thereby improving safety and extending tyre life.

Light sensing headlamps & Rain sensing wipers
The light sensing headlamps will automatically come on when visibility is low, whilst the rain-sensing wipers will do the same in the wet.

SAFETY

Upfront, the new static bending headlamps with light guides integrate perfectly with the stylish new grille, whilst the introduction of black detailing running down to the bold chrome of the newly designed fog lamps pick up on the cheetah’s unmistakeable tear ducts. The bonnet has also been raised to better express the sleek, strong shoulder line of the cheetah.

Moving round the vehicle the enhanced detailing is continued, with new multi-spoke alloy wheels, and reworked vertical door handles that echo the cuff of a cheetah’s paw. There are chrome scuff plates on first and second row doors, and a new chrome appliqué for the tailgate.
